DDWY
ddwy is the project of London-based producers, DJs, and husband-and-wife Naomi and Ronan. Inspired by dub, trip-hop and experimental house, the duo established their place in the world of leftfield dance music through cult Munich-based label Public Possession. Their live shows allow for improvised moments, while their DJ sets explore body music drawing on inspirations from krautrock to dub-techno.
There’s a certain low-lit, after-hours quality to everything they touch - a feeling that sits somewhere between dubbed-out introspection and dancefloor disorientation. They have been quietly carving out their space through a run of deeply textural releases and increasingly exploratory live and DJ outings, from DIY spaces to leftfield festival bills across Europe. ddwy are clearly making music that they want to make, regardless of what’s currently fashionable.
