sacha mambo

DJ and digger for over two decades, Sacha embodies a wide-reaching musical culture shaped by curiosity and deep listening. He’s among those rare selectors able to trace hidden threads between seemingly distant genres, weaving them into sets that unfold with a strong sense of narrative and internal logic.

His scope moves effortlessly from experimental and ambient electronics through downtempo, trip-hop and dub, into early rave territories—jungle, techno, acid and trance—while leaving space for detours into post-punk, new wave and krautrock. This range is anchored in an instinct for uncovering rare, offbeat material, with selections that feel both surprising and inevitable.

A defining period came with his residency at Le Sucre in Lyon (2013–2016), where this approach took clearer shape. In the years leading up to the pandemic, he toured extensively worldwide, while also hosting the long-running LYL Radio show L’important dans la vie c’est de continuer de danser for eight years.

Alongside his DJ work, Sacha has run the Macadam Mambo Records label since 2012. Initially recognized for its distinctive edits, the label pivoted in 2017 toward original productions, releasing music from artists such as Eva Geist, Eiger Drums Propaganda, Abschaum, Steve Pepe, Panoptique, Twoonky, Tutu Ta, Fallbeil, ADN’ Ckrystall, Pieter Kock, and The Jaffa Kid.
