rozaly

Hailing from Curaçao, a balmy Caribbean island, Rozaly is a DJ, researcher and curator who's made it his mission to challenge stereotypes about his region's musical output while simultaneously broadening the outlook.Cutting together rhythms with deep collective resonance, like Dominica's bouyon, Garifuna sounds from Saint Vincent or Saint Lucia's soca offshoot Dennery Segment, Rozaly has racked up accolades for his series of party-starting 'Carnival Ganza'.

With performances at Dekmantel Festival, Nyege Nyege, and De School, and as a regular at Garage Noord, Rozaly brings a wealth of experience to the table. He also curates and designs sound for various art and music projects. Rozaly is challenging Western dance music norms while uncovering lost Caribbean heritage, further connecting to his identity. A mission to archive entire recorded musical heritage from Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao over the past 8 years, led to various projects within the framework of his co-founded music platform Ranson.
