Louis and Ben (aka Beans) Helliker-Hales made their move all the way from their native New Zealand to Peckham in 2017 to expand their musical career, the same week when they accidentally met a local, Bradley Zero (a name also present on our lineup) on a train. Connecting over music and likeminded sonic explorations, the duo quickly became a resident name at many of the local venues and clubs. After more than a decade of releasing numerous singles and EPs – some of which have become global dance hits (Midnight in Peckham, Accidental Meetings, 78 To Stanley Bay, etc.), the end of last year has seen the duo’s first album A Deeper Life – an ode to their carefree childhood and laid-mentality cultivated living next to the ocean.

Although their productions are known for a softer touch to house, Chaos in The CBD turns to heavier selections and harder beats when DJ-ing, keeping the audience hungry for more beats to shake the dancefloor to. This approach has been approved from world-renowned clubs to festivals alike: playing Parklife festival, Boiler Room, Berghain and so on. The duo’s ultimate passion for delivering both seamless productions and sets lies in the firm foundation on how they feel towards their roots, friends, family and each other. As they state: “There’s just been too many scenarios where I couldn't have done it without him and vice versa. So we lean on each other a lot emotionally. Plus, if something goes wrong, it's only half your fault; if something goes right, you get to share it with someone.”
